Lodge Guest, Lars Stout
Where do you currently live and where are you from ?
I’m from the Netherlands and I live in Rotterdam.
Tell us a little bit about your past ?
Born in ’89. Started skating 8 or 9 years later.
Why skateboarding ? How did it start for you ?
A guy named Brian was always skating a block away from my house. I loved the way it looked and the noises that it made. Not long after that I stole my brothers skateboard, sorry Tommy, and started skating with Brian. I’ve been rolling ever since.
What size set up, wheels & trucks do you currently ride ?
8.75 Super Orange skateboard, 159 Indy’s, 60mm Spitfire formula four wheels, Spitfire burners bearings, Shake Junt griptape.
Do you have any setup rituals, we need to know about ?
Eh.. I don’t think so. I never have solid black griptape. Plain black griptape is too boring. There is always some colour mixed in.
Any sponsors ?
TSG – Super Orange Skateboarding – Skatestore
What kind of skateboarding do you prefer ?
Vert and bowl, but mostly vert. When I was younger I wanted to skate everything (street, park, bowl, vert you name it.). But after playing THPS2 and only watching clips of Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek I knew transition skating was it for me.
Do you have a great skate spot in your home town you can recommend ?
Unfortunately there is no vert in Rotterdam. But we have some tranny spots here and there: Blaak, Heemraadsingel, Noordbowl.
Who is your favorite skateboarders, under and over 30 ?
Under 30: Jimmy Wilkins, Alex Perelson, Sam Beckett and much more. Over 30: Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, Fejj, Dave Allen, Andy Scott, Grosso, Lance Mountain and soo much more. Girls: Nicole Hause, Kisa Nakamura, Lizzie Armanto.
School, work, not working or other occupation ?
Who knows?

How is a normal day looking for you ?
Work from 07hr until 15hr. Do some groceries. Watch some tv. Cook dinner. Eat. Drive an hour to go vertskateboarding. Go home satisfied.
Tell us how a good long great weekend should look for you
Get up when I like. Eat. Hopefully skate some good outdoor vert ramp with a nice crew. Get home. Have a nice dinner. Hang out with friends with some drinks. The next day I go out and about with the lady..

Any big plans for 2019 ?
I’m trying to visit a lot of contests in Europe and learn new tricks in between. Also a California trip in september.
Who are you hanging out with at the moment ?
Usually Florenz Buss. This guy gets me hyped every time. Always down to learn new stuff.
Who and what is your motivation at the moment ?
Auby Taylor! Really like his style and tricks.
Last country you visited ? and what happened there ?
Belgium. Went to Antwerp to skate vert.
What was the last gnarly thing you witnessed ?
Flo taking a slam where he cracked his ribs, then went up for another go. Such a machine.
What was the last item you bought ?
Shoe laces, as they keep breaking all the time. Thanks vertskateboarding…
What do you do besides skateboarding, do you have other hobbies, other interests ?
I like to ride my MTB from time to time. I like to play videogames. Watching movies or series. Traveling.
What is your to go to restaurant, you wanna share ?
Not sure. Any place where they have good meat dishes I guess.
When you cook food, what do you cook ?
Favorite dish to cook is probably oven baked sweet potatoes. A piece of meat on the side. And asparagus wrapped in bacon. Ooh yeah…
Whats your top 3 favorite drinks ?
Water, coffee, beer.
How do you see the future of skateboarding ?
Whenever I look at the juniors final at Vert Attack I know the future will be bright.
Who do we need to interview on the lodge ?
Florenz Buss. Mark van der Eng.
Do you ever think about a future with no skateboarding ?
I’ll always be a skateboarder. Even when I can’t skate anymore.
Last words, thank yous, other, did we miss anything ?
Thank you skateboarding.
