When did you start to skate and why ? what tricked you into this ?
Started in 1974 in my home town of Hassocks (which is close to Brighton). Classic 1st board that was a pair of roller skates screwed on to a plank… then I got a ‘’Easy-rider’’ that had urethane wheels and I was hooked.
Please comment your feelings about Skateboarding in the 80s,90s,2010s
I’ve never been that good but I really love skating… gives me the same buzz now that I got when I first stepped on the board when I was 13…
80s Mostly skated with some close friends
90s Moved to Stockholm and just skated 3 or 4 times a year
2000 2004 was the year that the bowl at Björns Trädgård was built in central Stockholm… that’s when a lot of old skaters met up and I got to know them better.
2010+ More and more concrete parks are being built… stoked 🙂

Skateboarding has been a part of my life since I was 13 and has influenced me in many different and positive ways. It’s a real mix of people and ideas
Where do you stand & please comment with skateboarding in the olympics ?
Haha… I don’t think it really maters. There are some really really really good skaters that don’t even want to do ordinary comp’s so they won’t be doing the olympics either… and we have a bunch of really good skaters that smoke and drink beer so they won’t be allowed in the olympics.
