This is a campsite very close to the park (12 min walk) on a great location, you can hang, swim, etc. Their normal fee is 15 a night, now 10 euro and we would get our own field to camp on.
Kids under 18 need to have guardian. And own equipment is required

DIRECTIONS TO THE SKATEPARK

From Central Station:

• Take the ferry from the backside of the central station. The ferry is located on the eastside of the station and its called “IJplein”.
• The ferry operates during rush hours once per 7 minutes and off rush hour once per 15 minutes.
• Once you Arrive in north, you leave the point in the north direction. Turn right onto the IJplein and turn right after 90 meters on Hollandia Kattenburg Road. After 305 meters turn left onto Gedempte Insteekhaven and continue your route until you reach the Aambeeldstraat after 990 meters. Pass the parking gates in north direction and you will find the skatepark on your right hand side.

From Schiphol Airport:

• Take the train from platform 1-2 to Amsterdam Central station. From here you can follow the directions as they are given above.

STAKES

The top 10 skaters automatically qualify for Tampa Am.

DAMN AM OF THE YEAR

• Must skate two or more Damn Ams to be in the running
• The skater with the best two finishes will be Damn Am of the Year
• Damn Am of the Year receives a Tampa Am Finals Golden Ticket and an invite to skate the 2018 SLS Pro Open

 

 

ABOUT DAMN AM

The Damn Am is a global amateur skateboarding contest series. Established in 2001 by Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT), the series built on the success of Tampa Am by taking that experience on the road. Over 5000 skaters have participated in Damn Am events, including most of today’s top professionals. The Damn Am series serves as the only qualifier to both Tampa Am and the SLS Pro Open.
