How are you doing at the moment? Getting there, still in a slump

How is your body at the moment , (injuries, knees, back, and so so ) ? For the time being I am pretty ok. No fractures, the illness I have is in check

When did you start to skate and why ? what tricked you into this ? I was the smallest kid in school so hockey and football kind of sucked. One day my best friend got an Alley Cat plastic board. It must’ve been late 77 or early 78. Not sure but there was snow. Was hooked from day one.

Please comment your feelings about Skateboarding in the

80s:  Everybody were automatically friends if they wore Vans or had a board. The contests were insanely fun as you got to meet all the friends you didn’t see normally. And I kind of prefer the old 80s tricks and board shapes over what came later.

90s: the small wheels, eeeek. But a total trick evolution in most disciplines.

2000: I was away from skating for 7 years after injuring my shoulder and getting ill so missed most of it but I’d say that nothing much happened except us old guys getting even older and Vert Attack came to be

2010+ Vert Attack, J-Mag, getting ill

When I chill, I chill with, my son, my cats and Casper Plass ofc

I’m have been on a mission lately in (with): Bringing back Eurocana together with Puttis.

Dream session would be, skating with Slappo again.

Lately I have been working on, setting up Eurocana Cup with the fantastic people in Halmstad, Borlänge and at Stockholm Skatepark

When I was little I would like to, learn English so that I could do interviews when being a rock star in LA.

When im home I like to, just chill

I normally call my homies for, buddies J

Your homies are, I guess all of the people from the Swedish skate scene in the 80s such as Puttis, Tony Jansson, Folkesson, Pekka, Göthis, Hazze, Evertsson as well as some newcomers like Casper Plass, who has the best style ever.

I enjoy going to, the skatepark, Gotland, the pub.

Favorite drink is, Coke, beer, tequila

Favorite food is, Chili

Favorite drugs, I hate drugs apart from the ones that you get when being ill.

Favorite drunk moment’s? Hard to say a favorite but one fun episode was during the Swedish nationals in Hägernäs back in the 80s when me and Slappo woke up in an abandoned boat on land with only a wall-to-wall carpet as a quilt. This was just an hour or so before the contest was about to start. Slappo won the contest!

Favorite music, D.A.D, DK, and other punk/new wave but also some 80s bands that stuck.

Favorite film, Blade Runner

Favorite skateboarders: Too many to list but Cab, Mike McGill, Kevin Staab, Zattoni, Casper, Jocke O, Ponta.

Favorite skate film, Powell 8 because that is where I first saw Mike Frazier

Favorite skatepark, Stockholm Skatepark

Favorite spot, same

Favorite woman / men (blond, fat, thin, big, small) dude, no idea atm…

When I cook, I cook, chili and carnitas

To go to resturant is, Lokes or Texas Longhorn

To go to trick is, inverts

To go to trick when you are farked is, still inverts

To go to trick when you are winning is, invert to tail and other weird stuff from the 80s

TOP 3 Cities, Stockholm, Visby and L.A.

When I travel, I always bring, toothbrush and a cell phone

Best travel advice I can give is, relax and enjoyr the ride.

Best life advise I can give is, try to be yourself

Are you good with money ( do you plan, safe it, cash in or blow it )? Not really, I tend to try to save it and then I see something I wat and buy it.

Best travel memory you want to share? I travelled too much but first time in Vegas stuck. That was when I learned the word “tacky” from some American friends when I was at a lack of words to describe what I felt about the city J

When I do not skateboard I, wish I was skateboarding more

My fitness program is, absent

Anything that concerns you at the moment? Loads of stuff but nothing that fits here.

When I get old I want to, be able to do inverts or at least keep taking photos of skateboarding

I would NEVER, steal

I would like to see more of, Erick Winkowski

That one time where I was in jail because of, Had to spend one night sobering up after drinking beers with Hazze back in the late 80s.

I should do more of, going to skate contests and events

My future looks like, bright I hope

I dream of some day that I would, do Madonnas and boneless’ again.

The book I currently read is, some Swedish crime novel

The best travel I have been on, hard to say

On Netflix / youtube I watch, OA

If I could change the world I would, make all countries more like the Nordics when it comes to attitude and politeness. Trump, Putin and IS would not exist in that world.

Everybody should own a, cat or two

The hobby I have, no one knows about is, play games?

I will never get rid of, my skate gear

I would love to be in a movie with, Puttis 😉

Any regrets in life so far? Not going to the US in the 80s

I currently follow (social media, instagram twitter, Facebook) friends and skaters on Instagram and FB

Anything else, yep, thanks to all my friends for driving me to the ER when needed and helping me get back after injuries and what not J

Random stories you wanna share? Having the largest phone bill ever for talking too much to Aaby after the European championships in 87. And when Göran Nordqvist threw a fit when I skated pad less at Summer Camp 81. He told me that the only place I could skate pad less was on the boat back to Gotland. Needless to say I hit him back with: Whaat, you want me to go home?!? After that he called me Mr Arrogant at every contest.

Time, not sure. But this is dope. Photo Fredrik Attebrant.jpg

July 1987, A mini ramp in central Stockholm. that no longer exists. Patrik says: Skating my favorite deck ever in it. A Schmitt Stix John Lucero that Hazze gave me to get me back skating vert again Photo Fredrik Attebrant.jpg
